Depression and Anxiety Awareness

A session about Anxiety and Depression in Children and Teens, will be held on Thursday, October 24, at 6:00 in the board room at the Johnson County School System Central Office. Counselors from Frontier Health will going over the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression, along with what you can do to help your child. There will be time for questions from the audience. GRANDS Meeting to be held November 14th grands puzzle

The first GRANDS meeting will be held on Thursday, November 14, at 6:00 in the board room in the Johnson County School System Central Office.  Frontier Health will be here to discuss how to help children deal with being raised by their grandparents and not their parents.  There will be time set aside for questions and group discussions about what matters most to you.

Come be a part of a GRAND group!  Snacks will be provided!  Hope to see you there!

There will be no school Wednesday, November 27 through Friday, November 29, 2019 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Winter Break Winter Break

We will dismiss half day on December 20, 2019 for our Winter Break.  Student's will return to school on January 7, 2020 for a full day.

JCHS 2019 Graduation Complete

Johnson County High School has completed it's 96th Commencement Exercise, and 129 Seniors have walked across the stage and entered the next chapter in their lives! Family Access Parent Portal

Parent involvement is crucial to academic success no matter how old your child is. The Skyward Family Access Parent Portal is a tool for parents to stay informed and engaged in their child's education. The Parent Portal gives parents and guardians access to their child's attendance, grades, and missing assignments. Weekly progress reports are available as well.

New State Required Attendance Law In Effect

This newly passed law provides revisions and updates regrading school attendance, truancy, and discipline.
